Cookie Policy

Open source, simple, and privacy-first. ShareYourLinks keeps things intentionally minimal. We do not run ads, we do not build user profiles, and we do not use invasive trackers. We only use what is needed for the app to work properly.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file your browser stores so a site can remember basic settings. On ShareYourLinks, this is limited to technical behavior such as language preference.

2. Cookies and tracking

We only use essential functionality, privacy-friendly analytics, and temporary server-side abuse protection.

ShareYourLinks (First-party)
Technical / Session
Stores your locale preference (for example, NEXT_LOCALE) so the interface loads in your selected language.
Umami
Anonymous Analytics
Measures aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, popular pages) without building personal profiles.
ShareYourLinks (Server-side anti-abuse)
Security
Temporarily stores IP address data for up to 5 minutes to limit bots, spam, and DDoS-like request bursts.

3. Traffic analytics with Umami

We use Umami to understand overall traffic and improve ShareYourLinks. We do not track users across websites and we do not create individual behavioral profiles.

4. How to manage cookies

You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings at any time. If you do, basic features like language preference may stop working as expected:
